A new way to convert plastic into fuel at low temperatures
US experts have invented a new way to convert plastics into fuel that is not only useful for all types of plastics but also uses very little energy while operating at very low temperatures.
The latest issue of the online research journal Science Advances features an article by experts from the University of Delaware who have come up with a new, effective and low-cost “high-cost” type of plastic to get rid of pollution. The method is explained.
This new method can easily convert even types of plastics into fuel that are considered extremely difficult and almost impossible to recycle. During the initial experiments, 85% of the plastic was converted into a mixture of diesel, jet and petrol.
