Discover the secret of memory and intelligence without a brain in a single-celled organism
Munich: After a long study, German experts have discovered the secret of memory and intelligence in a type of single-celled organism called fitter saliva or “slim mold”.
The full scientific name of this organism is “Physarum polycephalum” which is a medium between animals, plants and fungi at the same time.
Each cell of the slime mold can grow from just a few centimeters to several meters. Which depends on the type.
However, the most amazing feature of slim mold for scientists is the presence of “memory and intelligence” in it, even though it has no brain and no nervous system.
