Fact check: Why didn’t millions of Americans take the second dose of the corona vaccine?

According to the New York Times, the reason many people in the United States do not take a second dose is either due to fear of side effects or the misconception that a single dose of the vaccine is enough to protect against the corona virus. Some people had to cancel their appointments for another meal due to some compulsion. In some cases, the second dose was missed due to the lack of a specific brand of vaccine. However, the New York Times quoted sources from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as saying that the total number of people who do not take a second dose is about eight percent. That is, 92% of those who took the first dose also took the second dose.
