CALIFORNIA (Reuters) – Google has successfully used thousands of kilometers of Internet cables on the world’s oceans as seismometers, saying it could be used to make thousands of kilometers of stellar seismometers.
Google recently laid a state-of-the-art Internet cable in the Pacific Ocean. It can measure earthquakes very accurately due to the movement of ocean waves and other changes.
