Huawei announces driverless cars
Huawei, China’s largest mobile technology company, has announced the introduction of driverless self-driving cars by 2025.
According to the British News Agency, an official of the Chinese company Huawei has stated that by 2025 it intends to develop the technology of driverless automatic vehicles.
Wang Jin, a senior official at Huawei’s Smart Vehicle Unit, told the industry conference that his team’s goal is to make driverless cars by 2025.
According to the report, dozens of Chinese technology and automotive companies are rapidly working on the technology of driverless vehicles, with the introduction of these automobiles in the market is expected to bring major changes in the transport industry.
Huawei is the world’s largest manufacturer of telecommunications equipment. Despite the sanctions imposed by the United States, Huawei is expanding its business in other technology sectors as well.
Following the US sanctions on Huawei’s global smartphone business, the world’s largest telecommunications company has also started making electric vehicles.
