New York: Facebook management has introduced the Instagram Lite version for rural or slow internet users.

You have often noticed that many applications do not work properly in the mobile phones of the users who use slow internet service or live in rural areas.

In view of the same problem of users, the Facebook administration has launched Instagram Lite, which has been available to Android users in 170 countries since March 10.

Instagram Lite can be easily downloaded from the Google Play Store.

The company says Instagram Lite was developed by teams in Tel Aviv and New York to provide Instagram services to people with poor internet access, including those living in rural areas, even on very limited data.

What’s special about Instagram Lite?

The lite version of Instagram, Facebook’s proprietary application, requires only two MB of storage on Android phones, while the original application requires 30 MB.

Key features have been retained on the Lite version, and the Facebook Lite app, developed some time ago by Facebook’s Tel Aviv team, has been used to make the app more efficient.

The company says that in the new version, the AR filters and cube transitions used on the faces have been removed, but the jiffes and stickers have been retained.

According to foreign media, the highest number of Internet users is in North America where about 90% of the population is connected to the Internet, while in Pakistan and India this number is still very low where 35 to 50% of the population. Has access to the Internet.
