SAN FRANCISCO: Video streaming platform Netflix has introduced a new feature for Android phones that allows users to customize their video viewing times.
According to the World News Agency, Netflix has introduced a new feature to protect fans of movies or web series from the hassle of watching videos for hours on end. With the help of this feature, users can select working hours while watching Netflix, in which the app will close automatically and users can sleep during this time.
This feature will be available on Android devices under the name of Netflix Testing Slip Time feature with four working hours selected which can be limited to 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes or the end of what people are watching.
A report published on The Verge website says that with the help of this feature, the battery of Android devices will be safe and efficient for a long time. Steps have also been taken to prevent web series episodes from opening automatically.
Although this feature is currently only available for Android devices globally, this feature will soon be introduced for desktop or TV sets as well. This feature is currently for adults only, but the company also plans to bring this feature with a new version for younger accounts profiles.
