Reaching a depth of 11,000 meters in the ocean “soft” and automatic robot

BEIJING: Chinese scientists have developed an automated robot for deep-sea research that is very soft and can swim freely.
In recent experiments, the robot has been tested by swimming in the deepest part of the ocean, the Mariana Trench. It is located at a depth of 10,900 meters (approximately 11,000 meters). Earlier, in initial experiments, it was successfully swept to a depth of 3,224 meters in the South China Sea.
