Successful flight of NASA’s ‘Enginity’ helicopter to Mars, ‘Moment of Wright Brothers’
This was confirmed by a satellite on Mars sending the helicopter’s data to Earth.
This is the first powered and controlled flight on another planet.
“We can now say that humans have flown a rotorcraft on another planet,” said Mamie Ang, manager of the Ingenuity helicopter project at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pacedina, California.
