The United States has blacklisted several Chinese companies, including Xiaomi
The Trump administration has blacklisted nine Chinese companies for alleged links to the Chinese military.

Beijing has accused the United States of using state power against Chinese companies for no apparent reason.

The US administration’s new orders target several Chinese firms, including China’s state oil company CNOOC, smartphone company Xiaomi and Tik Tak.

The Chinese smartphone company denied the allegations and said in a statement that it was considering the possible consequences of the new order.

A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said in a statement that the Trump administration had misused state power and cracked down on Chinese companies without cause, which China strongly opposes.
