NEW YORK: The social networking and microblogging site Twitter’s service has been hit hard around the world, leaving users in a quandary.
According to international media reports, on Friday night, Twitter users complained that they did not have access to their accounts, these users were not from any specific country but from all over the world.
After the service was affected, the company confirmed that the service was affected. In his tweet, Twitter said that “some users have complained about not getting new comments on the timeline”.
Confirming that the service was affected, the company said: “We are working to resolve this issue. As soon as the experts fix this error, the timeline of all customers will be restored.”
As Twitter’s services were affected, users around the world reported having difficulty loading their timelines and tweeting. Twitter has been one of the top trends in the world, including Pakistan.
A report released by DownDetector.com, a global watchdog on technology and web services, said “on Friday, more than 40,000 users worldwide complained about the lack of access to the service.”
